Wild turkeys roaming through the city

There’s a whole flock of turkeys that graze through people’s gardens, munching on new veggie plants like deer in the country do. It’s not often this city womon witnesses wild turkeys free range roaming on the busy city streets of the SF East Bay. The first time I saw them, I thought someone left a gate open and their turkeys had escaped. But no, they come to the Bay quite often – the nibbling is plentiful!

They totally ignore people unless you get too close, then they move slowly off as a group.
